I can honestly tell you that we do not miss Texas much. I love the state, it will always be 'home', but we love our new home so much, it's hard to miss the old one.
We both got to see old friends and were so glad we did! It's good to know that those who you hold dear still hold you the same way.
What did we do besides take care of my hubby's mom? We ATE. We ate everything! One thing I can tell you about North Dakota is the food sucks. No salt, no flavor, blah. Texas is where to go for good food.

Me and my gorgeous Peruvian friend, Chari. I love her to pieces! |

My sister-in-law and I had FROZEN margaritas at PK lake. They were so frozen, we couldn't drink them! |

I wish there was some way Casa Manana could mail me some of the red tacos plus their queso and their homemade chips. Oh, well, it would cost way too much, I'm sure. But I can dream, can't I??
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, but I am sad to see that Montana has closed. Wonder if they closed the one in Weatherford also? Considering that I am old enough to remember when Ross's over there by where the old hospital used to be was one of the very, very few restaurants in Graham, I have been really happy to see so many new choices in our beloved home town. Sad to see one closing. Happy to see you enjoyed the good food while you had the chance!!
ReplyDeleteOh Celeste! The food was so good, I had trouble fitting into my jeans for a week or so after our trip. I all but gave up food for like two weeks due to the serious over eating we both did. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure about Montana's in Weatherford, just know Graham's closed all of a sudden. Very sad.
