More Photos From Our Trip

I can honestly tell you that we do not miss Texas much. I love the state, it will always be 'home', but we love our new home so much, it's hard to miss the old one.

We both got to see old friends and were so glad we did! It's good to know that those who you hold dear still hold you the same way.

What did we do besides take care of my hubby's mom? We ATE. We ate everything! One thing I can tell you about North Dakota is the food sucks. No salt, no flavor, blah. Texas is where to go for good food.

The hubby, our friend, Bob and me at Montana's Steak House in Graham (I have just heard it closed...what did we do? LOL)

Me and my gorgeous Peruvian friend, Chari. I love her to pieces!

My sister-in-law and I had FROZEN margaritas at PK lake. They were so frozen, we couldn't drink them!

My favorite food at my favorite place. YUM YUM

Good ol' fried green beans and pickles!

The Trek To Texas

As many of you know, we had to make a rather hastily planned trip back to our former home of Graham, Texas last month. My sweet Mother in Law was diagnosed with breast cancer, so when we found out when her surgery was to be, we knew we had to be there for her. So, we had to drive there. No flying this time...our airport was closed!

Long, long, LONG drive! The first day was around 10 hours, and we stopped in Garden City, Kansas. I really do love the Comfort Inn there. It's always very clean, very well decorated (to my taste mostly), and the people there are always kind. We hobbled in at around 9pm (after getting up that morning at 2:30am) and were almost in tears due to the total exhaustion and the sweet guy behind the counter fed us and we relaxed and slipped into comas until the nasty alarm went off the next morning.

Here's some pics of our room:

The next morning, we left early again and drove forever and finally got to Texas
